I am placing my soon to be 13 year old Palomino PeruvianGelding up for sale. He is one of the two we hauled all over the country last spring. A beautiful, experienced calm sound trail horse we have owned since he was a weanling. We have purchased a young horse, a colt out of my mare actually to allow our 21 year old Paso Fino Gelding Treasure, to have some much deserved down time. I only have 4 acres here in Tn, and we live on it. treasure will be here until he goes to that great pasture in the sky, and then will be buried here. Lack of space though does dictate that I have a "herd reduction". We were promised a lease on 20 acres adjoining our property last summer, when we made plans to bring in a new horse. That hasn't happened, so...I need to find a new home for my big golden buddy.
He is very well mannered, rides in a nose band, but doesn't object to a bit. Is beautifully gaited, loads, clips, goes where is pointed. I have used him on several ACTHA rides, and the first and only arena obstacle competition I rode him in, we won. I have some video clips of Jerry riding him in their first Extreme Cowboy competition the weekend I broke my pelvis if anyone wants to see it. Not great quality, as I am the one holding the camera. They didn't win that one....but it was way different than anything we had ever seen, and it was his and Houdini's first time competing together.
I am asking $4,000.00 for him, have turned downed offers of more in better financial times. I mostly want him to be in a good home that will use him. I can deliver him within a reasonable one day drive for that price.
