With four centuries of selective breeding, Peruvians have produced a rare breed of beautiful horses that have the smoothest gait and most willing disposition as to be called the “Cadillac” of riding horses. Enjoyed by all ages!

As always, the best way to share them is to introduce people to these wonderful horses.  With the purpose of enjoying and sharing, it is great to introduce these horses through demonstration of the gait, versatility, soundness and longevity, along with the amazing “brio” that makes the amazing Peruvian Horse.

One of the places that the Peruvian Horses Performed was for the Peruvian Consulate at the Peruvian Independence Festival in Salt Lake City, Utah. There were parties (Fiestas Patrias), games, and Peruvian concerts.
The Peruvian Horses were there exhibiting the smooth ride, along with the traditional tack and riding attire of Peru, much to the great delight of the Festival goers.  Several performances took place, as well as a meet and greet opportunities afterwards for the public to visit with the horses and riders.
Peruvian Horse Performance at the Boulder Horse Ballet, 2010, enthralled the audience at the Boulder County Fair in Longmont, Colorado.  This was 7th year that Peruvians have been in this performance and representing the versatility and grace of the breed.  The Boulder Horse Ballet is produced by Barbara Gardner and is an invitational freestyle horse performance with many breeds and riding styles represented.   The show has been going for more than 10 years in front of a packed house.  This performance had horses ranging in age from 1 month to 23 years old!

Many people have never seen or heard of these horses and are thrilled to have them attend events and Parades. There are several Drill teams that participate in events and Parades.  One of the best known is the Texas Ladies Aside where the Peruvian Horses is shown in a dramatic exhibition team that has wowed audiences from Lima, Peru to Calgary, Alberta and many, many places in between. The Texas Ladies Aside, the official Equestrian Drill Team of Texas (74th Leg., 1995), is a unique group: the women ride only Peruvian Paso horses and they ride them aside. For more information and pictures of these amazing ladies and horses, please visit the Texas Ladies Aside web site  http://www.texasladiesaside.com/

Another wonderful Team is the Peruvian Pasobilities Mounted Drill Team. The Peruvian Pasobilities Mounted Drill Team is an all-Peruvian horse precision drill team. Its members come from Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi and Louisiana to practice and perform, thrilling audiences across the southeast since 1996. The drill team offers a way for owners to promote the wonderful Peruvian horse and have fun and fellowship at the same time. They can be seen at http://www.peruvianpasobilities.com/
