Why Florida? Are you kidding?? When the rest of the United States is covered with snow, being blown away by tornadoes, suffering from severe drought or the other extreme of being washed away by flooding, Florida still remains the constant beautiful vacation destination of the entire United States and internationally. We are in a severe housing slump worse than a lot of other places, but that is only because we were growing at an unrealistic pace due to over-popularity and now are paying for it. We still have mild winters, tons of sunshine, beautiful sandy beaches and even rolling hills. My parents brought my sister and I to Florida when we were 7 & 8 years old but neither would ever live anywhere else. We vacation other places for variety but when it comes down to it, Florida is still a perfect place to call home. If you want to spend 1/2 the year locked inside because of the snow that's fine with me but if you want to enjoy the great outdoors all year round then Florida is the place to come. Florida will welcome you no matter where you are from. In fact, our population is so diversified you will feel at home no matter where you were born. Did I mention we have great prices on homes these days???

MONTANA! But why would anybody wander to Montana? Isn’t that just a cold place up north somewhere? My first encounter happened in sunny Arizona when I met a friendly stone carver in Sedona who carved a frozen sunrise into white marble in memory of Montana. So I moved to California. It got too crowded there, so I moved to Oregon. Here I met a gentleman who had a job on the Oregon Coast, but visited his ranch in Montana every few weeks, what a commute! Was it worth it?
